Australia’s leading wellness chef and clinical nutritionist, Samantha Gowing, is taking her renowned food as medicine philosophy offshore through a partnership with Club Med Asia Pacific.
Guests at selected Club Med Asia Pacific resorts are now enjoying a Wellness Gastronomy menu inspired by Gowing’s evidence-based approach to nutrition and culinary wellness. The program features up to 42 specialty dishes each week, complementing the resorts’ expansive buffet offerings and designed to serve up to 1,500 guests daily.

Following an intensive culinary residency at Club Med Bali, Gowing worked alongside 12 Executive Chefs to develop and systemise the Wellness Gastronomy framework across the Club Med Asia Pacific network.
“I am proud to work with a hospitality brand that is making healthy eating a genuine priority for its guests,” says Gowing. “Together, we’ve created dishes that not only taste exceptional but also support wellbeing, vitality and enjoyment while on holiday.”
The menu has been developed to seamlessly integrate into the Club Med guest experience, offering nutrient-dense, flavour-driven options that celebrate fresh produce, balanced nutrition and modern wellness principles.
Expanding Wellness Gastronomy Across Asia Pacific
The Wellness Gastronomy program continues to be implemented across selected Club Med Asia Pacific resorts, with Samantha Gowing working closely alongside executive chefs and food and beverage teams to integrate wellness-focused dining into the guest experience.
The initiative combines chef training, menu development, operational systems and culinary education, ensuring healthy menu offerings are both practical to deliver and exceptional to enjoy. Designed to complement Club Med’s existing dining philosophy, the program focuses on nutrient-dense ingredients, seasonal produce and globally inspired dishes that support guest wellbeing without compromising flavour.
“Today’s travellers are increasingly seeking experiences that support their overall wellbeing, and food plays a vital role in that journey,” says Gowing. “By combining culinary excellence with evidence-based nutrition, we’re creating menus that nourish, delight and inspire guests throughout their stay.”
The partnership reflects a growing global demand for wellness-led hospitality experiences and reinforces Club Med’s commitment to providing guests with innovative, health-conscious dining options across the Asia Pacific region.
